Today begins my first day living in the Mental Mediterranean. Last night’s dinner and dessert were amazing, exciting, and less calories than a similar amount of weight watchers food would have been, at least based on what I normally cook. Shrimp stiry-fry pitas, strawberries with sheep’s cheese and balsamic syrup… YUM! Plus, now my menus sound so exotic and exiciting!
Today I am starting with a huge bottle of water and a cup of orange spice herbal tea. Later in the morning I am having greek yogurt with honey, a banana, hummus and pita, a handful of roasted almonds, and the leftover shrimp stiryfry. We’ll see what happens.
Next step is to move more. I don’t want to promise to exercise as that clearly isn’t working for me right now. So instead I just promise to move more. I will walk the dog more often when I am home, and walk to anywhere within a reasonable distance.
Yay Mediterranean!
