Right Here, Right Now

There is no other place I want to be.

I’ve just finished reading The Precious Present. It is all about the value of right now and the importance of living in the moment. You should consider your past and think about your future, but the important part is right now.

Right now, in this moment, I am happy. If I do not allow myself to think about my summer classes, my weight issues, or what graduate school I will choose, I am content. I am sitting in a comfortable chair next to a window that lets the sunlight stream in. I can see my beautiful plants as they wave in the wind just outside my window. My precious puppy sleeps in my lap and my perfect husband is working hard to make our life better. Right now, in this moment, my life is just as it should be.

Read this book. It changes things, for a moment. If you can hang on to it, it might change things forever.
