Skipper

24 Mar

I skipped the gym today.  I don’t really feel badly about it.  I should have gone, but I just didn’t.  My stomach is feeling a little odd, and I am having a lot of cyst pain today… but I still could have gone.

Tomorrow, I’ll go back.

As an update, since some have asked, the “you owe $800,000” letter was a mistake that was apparently sent out to several people.  I figured as much.

As a final note, today I tried the best chocolate bar I have EVER had.  It’s a Vosges bar.   Now, I am not usually one for exotic chocolates, as so often they can turn out bad.  For instance, these.  That being said, Vosges bars in particular have been reviewed by the holy foodie that is Mac, and since she liked them I was excited to try them.

I had the Red Fire bar, which is dark chocolate with cinnamon and chilies.  I have had the same sort of thing in gelato in Italy and liked it… and the bar was even better.  Awesome.  First rate chocolate, fantastic taste and texture.  The cinnamon was amazing, and the chilies were just perfect.  Not too spicy or overwhelming, but leaving you with a little spice and some peppery taste at the end.  SO good.  And the best part is that the bars are so rich that I only ate three squares.  Now I want to try all of them, but I think my next choice (if I had one) would be Mo’s Bacon Bar.

Yep.  Bacon.

Some days, you just need a break. 🙂

I, too, just had the best chocolate bar ever! It was the Ghirardelli dark chocolate and caramel bar in my birthday package from you. Mmmm! To. die. for.

    I love you! ❤

Bacon? Seriously, with Chocolate? That just sounds wrong but you will have to let me know what it is like!

Sometimes the gym just isn’t the place to be. You’ve done soo good that you deserve a break!

Hope all is well. Take good care!

Mr. Fish loves the bacon bar. I like it, but once was enough. The Red Fire bar, though – awesome.

I also love the bar that has the plums and cardamom. Yum! And the one that has Goji berries. Any of them that have salt in them.

    I’m hungry now.
