State of the Kid Report

9 Sep

Highlights magazine did a great survey a little while ago where they “gave kids a national platform to share their thoughts on their interests, concerns and experiences growing up in 2009.”  On September 30th, 2009 they will be releasing the results of the survey at a special event hosted at the Newseum in Washington, DC.

A friend of mine who works for Highlights assures me the survey had some fantastic answers coming in, so the event is sure to be entertaining.  She has also informed me that I can invite any mommy bloggers I know to attend the media event:

Media Event Details
Highlights has invited the media, educators and others who work to improve the lives of children to join Editor Christine French Clark to learn the results. In addition to sharing the Highlights State of the Kid report, we are hosting a panel discussion among kids ages 8 to 12, who will give their take on the report.

That sounds really interesting! Too bad I’m on the other side of the country, otherwise I’d LOVE to go! Have fun, if you do go.
